Michael Dieter

Dr. Michael Dieter studied at the centre of Oral and Dental Medicine at the University of Tübingen, Germany. After his dental certification he was engaged in research work at the operative department of the same university and subsequently spent 4 years in private dental practice in Germany.

Dr. Dieter currently practises esthetic dentistry in a private dental clinic in Switzerland with a major focus on minimally invasive and adhesive dentistry, namely on esthetic direct anterior and posterior composite restorations as well as on smile design with all ceramic reconstructions. 19 years ago he integrated the CAD/CAM chairside application into his clinical workflow and today he is making use of the latest digital technologies.

He is also Head of the ICDE Clinical Training Centre (Principality of Liechtenstein) where he is directly involved in various development projects for new clinical products, putting him at the forefront of the latest technological developments in modern dentistry.

Dr. Dieter is intensively lecturing worldwide on topics related to the latest science in clinical techniques and dental materials. For the past 17 years he has been actively involved in the practical training of dentists through workshops and hands-on courses, both in the International Center for Dental Education (ICDE) at the Ivoclar Vivadent headquarters in Liechtenstein and in various dental education centers and universities throughout the world. In February 2017 he received the "Best Speaker Award" at the 21st UAE Int. Dental Conference in Dubai (4000 delegates voted the best out of 200 international speakers).

Vanik Kaufmann- Jinoian

Vanik Kaufmann-Jinoian was born 1958 in Calcutta India, he grew up in Switzerland in a city close to Basel, where he went to school and did his training as a certified dental technician. In the following years he optimized his dental skills in various dental laboratories in Switzerland. In that period of his training he was one year in America to learn the skills of marketing. When he returned to Switzerland he started to to work for the Vita Company.

He was at that time the youngest international ceramic demonstrator in the world. He was teaching the ceramic courses around the whole World. In the year 1990 he opened his own dental laboratory in Switzerland. He owns a very high-quality dental lab close to Basel.

The dental lab covers all the aspects of modern dentistry. Various dental companies use the lab for testing of new dental materials. Vanik is very involved in the research and development of new techniques he was the initiators for the various CAD-CAM systems for dental labs. Next to his lab, vanik used to teach at the mastertechnicians school in Switzerland as an instructor in CAD/CAM.Vanik has also published a book and many articles in different dental magazines around the world and is a well known Speaker at major symposiums.

Jan Paulics

Dr. Jan Paulics received his DDS from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm in 1993. He has practiced in both municipal and private dental clinics specializing in implant surgery and dentoalveolar surgery - with a focus on prosthetic driven surgery using digital planning tools and surgical guides for the past 10 years.

Jan has worked for the Swedish state as project manager for acquiring and implementing practice management solutions as well as being involved in the selection of digital imaging solutions for its dental practitioners.

Most recently working as an oral surgeon for the Eastman Institute in Stockholm, Jan is currently an Application Specialist at 3Shape. He continues to lecture for implant manufacturers and dental laboratories.

Peter Raftery

Peter attended Trinity College Dublin, graduating from Dental School in 2003. Over July and August of 2002 Peter travelled alone to South Africa to spend his elective summer period in Tygerberg at the then Stellenbosch University Dental School. Peter brought his boots and joined Villagers Rugby Club retaining only fond memories of snoek braiis and milk stout.


Following graduation Peter moved back to the UK to take up a place at Oxford University to complete an MSc in Diagnostic Imaging. Whilst at Oxford Peter played in the Varsity Match at Twickenham. After a stint in general dental practice in the Oxford area Peter began his specialist training in Endodontology at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London, in 2007. Upon completion of training Peter passed the endodontic exit exams from the Royal Colleges of London and of Edinburgh.


Now with a young family Peter settled in the Portsmouth area where he established his own practice – Hampshire Endodontics – as well as the Hampshire Endodontic Study Club. Peter works in endodontic private practice four days a week and spends one day a week supervising final year undergraduate dental students from Kings College London – the largest and top-ranked dental school in UK.


With a keen interest in endodontic surgery and local anaesthesia, Peter regularly runs endodontic courses in the south of England and is an occasional contributor of articles in UK dental publications. He has made presentations at the British Endodontic Society’s annual meeting and also at the major UK dental shows. Peter serves as an examiner for the MFDS exam held by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Peet van der Vyver

Peet van der Vyver qualified as a dentist BChD (Cum Laude) at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1992. In 2007 he completed a Diploma in Endodontics (Cum Laude), Masters Degree in Endodontics (Cum Laude) and a Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry (Cum Laude). He also received several awards for his academic distinction in many fields of dentistry. Prof van der Vyver, a private practitioner based in Sandton, Johannesburg where he runs the Studio for Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry and Dental Education.

Peet is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Odontology, School of Dentistry, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is the past President of the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (SAAAD) and is currently the President of The South African Society for Endodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry (SASEAD).

Peet van der Vyver has over 201 publications (40 in peer reviewed journals, 69 in popular scientific journals, 8 in dental newsletters and 84 published research abstracts) to his credit. He has lectured extensively (749 lectures at 393 different congresses) and has organized and presented numerous dental courses, lectures and hands-on symposia at national and international congresses.

GP van Reede van Oudtshoorn

G.P. van Rheede van Oudtshoorn is a lecturer at the North-West University's School of Communication Studies in Potchefstroom. His fields of teaching include corporate communication, communication theory and intercultural communication.

His research interests lies in corporate communication, specifically in leadership and managerial communication. He holds two MA-degrees cum laude from the University of the Free State. In addition to his role as a lecturer, he is also the housemaster of Heide Ladies' Hostel, the husband of the most wonderful woman in the world, and the father of the two brightest kids on the planet.

Andre van Zyl

Prof Andre van Zyl qualified as periodontist in 1989 from the University of Stellenbosch Cum Laude. He was Head of Department at Stellenbosch University from 1998-2003 and joined the University of Pretoria as Head of Periodontics in 2006. He started the first postgraduate diploma in oral implantology in South Africa, via distance learning, live surgery and hands-on training in 1999.

He has been involved in implant training since then and is currently the Head of the ITI Center of Excellence and ITI Scholarship Center at the University of Pretoria. He has published and lectured nationally and internationally on implant dentistry.

Julian Webber

Dr Julian Webber, BDS, MS, DGDP, FICD qualified from Birmingham Dental School. A recipient of the prestigious Charles Freeman Scholarship of the American Dental Society of Europe, he was the first UK dentist to achieve a Master of Science degree in endodontics (Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago, USA). Dr Webber has held teaching positions both at Guy’s Hospital and at the Eastman in London, at the same time maintaining a practice limited to endodontics in Harley Street in Central London. Dr Webber has written for numerous journals and textbooks on endodontics, is the editor-in-chief of Endodontic Practice journal and has lectured worldwide teaching general dentists and endodontists modern endodontic skills
